Building a website has never been more straightforward. Wix is a website-building platform that can be used to design all sorts of websites. This article discusses how easy it is to build a website using Wix and provides a step-by-step guide for you to follow.

Wix is a website-building platform known for its accessibility and the many features it offers. Wix is a platform that allows users to build their website with a host of customizable templates. If you're a beginner, being confronted with building a website can be stressful; however, with a platform like Wix, it's quite simple. We'll discuss why Wix is so easy to use and share a step-by-step guide to help you build your website.

Wix is so easy to use because it offers two simple ways for users to build their websites. The first method is the template customization method or the drag-and-drop editor method. Let's take a look at this method.

Drag-and-drop Editor method (Wix Editor)

The drag-and-drop editor method is simple and requires minimal effort. It requires no prior coding knowledge or any prior website building experience. It offers a lot of creative freedom for its users as long as they follow the outline of their selected method. Here is how to use this method.

Step 1 - You'll need to create an account on Wix to access Wix Editor. Once you've opened an account, you can move onto the next step.

Step 2 - You will be asked to choose a template. Wix offers over 500 templates to users. Depending on the sort of website you're trying to build, specific designs will be better suited for your website.

If you're building an e-commerce website, you should look into Wix Online Store and opt for templates best suited for your needs. The same thing goes for bloggers. Wix Blog is a great resource for bloggers who want to build their websites using Wix.

Wix also has a blank template if you prefer to build your website from scratch. You can find this in the left column on the template page.

Step 3 - The next step and the most important one is to familiarize yourself with the header. The header can be found at the top of the page. It contains all you'll need to edit your template and build your website. This is where the menu is located and the upgrade, redo/undo, preview, publish, print, mobile view, and other tools.

If you've never used these tools before or do not recognize the options available on the header, you can right-click each option to see what it represents or hover the cursor over the option you'd like to expand.

Step 4 - Now that you're familiar with the header, it's time to structure the site. Here you'll find options to arrange the list in a hierarchical order and add web modules which are web applications that may be useful on your website. Wix's App Market comes with over 250 web apps to support your Wix website, so you don't have to spend time searching for web apps that can be integrated into your website.

You can also add Wix media like images, videos, and GIFs. Finally, you can add .js files. .js files are JavaScript files used to execute instructions from JavaScript in web pages and websites. This includes functions such as creating menus that drop, rollover images, and opening/closing windows.

Step 5 - Next, it's time to use the section hover menu. The section hover menu can have as many as 6 sections. This may include the services or products offered on the site. The hover menu is a way to add elements to the site.

Here you can include pages, menus, testimonials, blog posts, galleries, and even an API. An API (Application Programming Interface) aids communication between the user and the system. In step 5, you can add apps from the Wix App Market that may be helpful to you.

Step 6 - You're almost done with building your Wix site, just a few more steps. Now, it's time to add the finishing touches. You can access the editing element, which is available in the toolbar on the header. Here you'll find the duplicate, copy and cut options to use as you please. You'll also find sizing, shape, and orientation editors, which will help you adjust the necessary sections till you're satisfied.

Step 7 - It's finally time to go live. You can preview the website before going live to ensure everything is as it should be.

These are 7 easy steps to follow when building a website on Wix. Of course, there are several customization options and other features available on Wix. You will find a lot of useful resources in the Wix App Market.

ADI Method

The ADI method is the Artificial intelligence design method. It may not give you as much creative liberty at first, but it is just as appealing. This feature is available on the Wix website. With this feature, all you have to do is answer a few questions to provide information on personal preferences and your general expectations. Here are the steps to follow.

Step 1 - There are only three steps in this section because the ADI designs the website for you. The first step is to answer the questions given to you.

Step 2 - The next step is to ensure your website is well suited to your needs. If it is not, you can always make some minor corrections or personalize it even further by following the steps in the preceding section.

Step 3 - You finally get to publish your Wix website!

Wix is an excellent platform to build great and well-designed websites easily. In addition, Wix offers a plethora of resources for beginner website builders. You can also find resources on YouTube if you're more of a visual learner.
